5 lessons I have learned about leadership
1) Leadership is not about you, yet it's all about you.
As a leader, you focus your energy externally on your colleagues and work to serve them in achieving their highest potential. But, it starts with you - your mindset, your thoughts and behaviours, and how you show up.
2) Being a great leader is not a destination, it's a journey.
It's a constant learning process and never complete. Leadership is an art, and it's always evolving.
3) Leadership is a lifestyle.
Leadership becomes part of who you are. You live and breathe the leadership mindset and it benefits all areas of your life.
4) Leaders need leaders.
It can be lonely at the top. You need someone to nurture you, challenge you, and help you continue to grow and evolve.
5) Everyone's a leader.
Regardless of your job title, you are always leading - leading clients, leading colleagues, leading situations and outcomes, and leading yourself.
